Before and After School Care in Kenosha, WI: The Big Bird Room

Kiddie Kare A'Kademie in Kenosha provides before and after school care for school-age children in the Big Bird Room. We open at 6:00 AM, serve breakfast every morning, and make sure your child gets on the bus to school on time. After school, we provide homework help, a healthy snack, and supervised activities until 5:30 PM.

We provide direct bus transportation to and from Jeffrey Elementary School, which is just 6 blocks from our center at 9244 39th Avenue in Kenosha, WI 53142 (Village of Pleasant Prairie). Students from other Kenosha and Pleasant Prairie schools are also welcome.

Our Big Bird Room teachers are Wisconsin DHS-certified and background-checked. They create a safe, structured environment where school-age children relax, get homework done, play, and develop friendships outside of the school day.

Kiddie Kare A'Kademie provides direct bus transportation to and from Jeffrey Elementary School, a KUSD school located just 6 blocks from our center on 39th Avenue near Highway 31.

Students from other Kenosha Unified School District (KUSD) schools and Pleasant Prairie schools are welcome for before and after school care. Parents are responsible for arranging transportation to and from their child's school if it's not Jeffrey Elementary.

Yes. Kiddie Kare A'Kademie provides full-day care during winter break, spring break, teacher work days, and all summer long. Your child always has a safe, fun place to be when school is out in Kenosha.

During breaks, school-age children participate in activities, games, crafts, outdoor play, and age-appropriate learning. In the summer, children ages 5-12 join our Kamp Kaleidoscope summer camp with themed weeks, field trips, and Mad Science workshops.

We are closed only on the following holidays:

• New Year's Day
• Good Friday
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving Day and the day after
• Christmas Day

Many families in Kenosha and Pleasant Prairie have been with us since their child was a toddler. When their child starts kindergarten at Jeffrey Elementary or another local school, they stay with Kiddie Kare A'Kademie for before and after school care because they already trust us.

Other families find us when they need reliable, safe before and after school care with hours that fit a working parent's schedule. We open at 6:00 AM and close at 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Breakfast and afternoon snack are included. Homework help is built into the routine. And your child is in a secure building with background-checked teachers.
